If you know us at all, you know we LOVE rift white oak.  Based our sales, our customers love it, too.  It's such a refreshing, modern take on a wood that is often relegated to the "upgrade" offerings at big box stores, where it is coveted as an upgrade because it has the name oak, not because it looks good the way it is presented.

But, we're always on the lookout for what's coming next.  I don't think rift white oak is going anywhere soon, but there's room for some new thinking in oak.  We spotted this on Pinterest recently, and we think this might be where oak is going next.

This is plain sawn, bookmatched American oak.  Gorgeous, isn't it?  Especially with the white tile and counters.  One thing I love about this job is I see a kitchen almost everyday that makes me think "wow, I really want that kitchen!".  I need more kitchens in my house.

What do you think?  Do you love this or hate it?  Do you want it?  Let us know in the comments or drop us a line.
